A photochromic film for vehicle glazing, fitted on the inside of the glass. It darkens as sunlight strengthens and goes clear again in shade, so the tint tracks the light through the day. It rejects 92% of infrared and 99% of ultraviolet. This is an automotive film, not an architectural one, and it is fitted and quoted at the studio per vehicle. Reflectiv still lists it; we are not holding stock, so ask us about lead time or a fixed-tint alternative.

No. Spectrally-selective films such as 3M Prestige and TotalGard Ceramic reject heat while staying clear, keeping 60-70% visible light. You lose the heat, not the daylight or the view.
Yes. By cutting solar heat gain through the glass, the air-conditioning runs less to hold the same temperature. Savings are largest on east and west-facing glass and large glazed areas.
It can, but double-glazed and Low-E units are heat-sensitive and the wrong film can cause thermal stress. We use externally-applied films such as Reflectiv IR-X and SOL ranges on these units, confirmed during a site survey.
On ordinary single glazing the risk is very low. Thermal stress only becomes a concern on heat-sensitive units such as double-glazed and Low-E glass, or where a pane is heavily shaded in part. We assess the glass type, size and shading on a site survey and match a compatible film, often externally applied on sensitive units, so the glass is protected rather than stressed.
Yes. By cutting the light and heat coming through the glass, solar film noticeably reduces glare on TVs, monitors and phones near windows. Tinted and spectrally-selective films are especially effective for bright, screen-heavy spaces such as offices and living rooms.
