The silver finish works both ways. From outside it reads as a uniform mirror, which gives daytime privacy and tidies the look of a facade full of mismatched blinds and interiors. The trade is reflection from the room side at night: with the lights on, the glass reads silver from within. Where that matters, Night Vision 25 or Prestige 70 is the better pick.
On sealed units it keeps most of its advantage, rejecting 67% of solar energy on clear double glazing and cutting solar heat by 53%, with UV blocked at 99% throughout. An abrasion-resistant coating protects the surface in dusty conditions, and the film carries 3M's comprehensive warranty.
