An exterior silver film that rejects 59% of solar energy, reflecting 35% back before it reaches the glass. A thicker 115-micron construction with a classic reflective facade finish. Discontinued line; remaining stock installed while it lasts.

SOL 142 is the thickest of Reflectiv's external silvers at 115 microns, made for facades that want the classic reflective look with a heavier film under the finish. It rejects 59% of total solar energy at a solar factor of 0.41, turning around a third of the sun's energy straight back off the glass, and blocks 99% of UV.

Reflectiv's design brief for it reads plainly: reduce heat and glare, keep the glass transparent, and do not disperse light in all directions, so the reflection reads clean rather than milky. It is designed for any type of normal clear glass, applied to the outside face at 5°C or warmer, with Euroclass B-S1,d0 fire behaviour.

The line is discontinued and installed while our stock lasts, on rolls 1.52 metres wide. Between the external silvers: SOL 112 rejects more at 83% but is also phased out; SOL 102 at 79% is the continuing line that can be reordered; SOL 142's 59% is the lighter touch, for buildings that want relief without the deepest tint.

Which glass it suits

SOL 142 goes on the outside face of any normal clear glass. Fitting needs a clean, grease-free pane and a compatibility test on anything unusual; after thirty days it takes normal non-abrasive, ammonia-free cleaning. As remaining stock, available sizes are constrained to what is on the shelf.
