SOL 251 is the bronze member of Reflectiv's solar range: a 75 micron PET film in bronze metallic that rejects 72% of total solar energy at a solar factor of 0.28. Of the energy arriving at the pane, 37% is reflected straight back and only 12% transmitted, with UV blocked at 95%. The result is a warm facade tone instead of the cold silver of a classic mirror film.

Reflectiv publishes exactly which glass it can go on: single panes from 4 to 10 mm, laminated glass, and clear double glazing under 1.2 square metres a pane. Application is internal, at 5°C or warmer, and unusually for the range it can also be installed on plexiglass and polycarbonate after a compatibility test. Fire behaviour is Euroclass B-s1,d0.

This is a discontinued line, installed while our stock lasts, which is worth knowing in both directions: there is no reordering it later, and remaining-stock pricing applies now. Durability is quoted at 12 to 15 years vertical in central Europe, and maintenance is the standard thirty day wait, then non-abrasive, ammonia-free cleaning.

Which glass it suits

SOL 251 goes on the inside face. Single glass of 4 to 10 mm, laminated panes and small clear double glazing are published as suitable; large sealed units are not, and belong with SOL 102 or EXT 600. Remaining rolls are 1.52 metres wide in 10 or 30 metre lengths.
