An interior IR film with a light golden cast that blocks 55% of infrared and 52% of total solar energy while passing 70% of daylight. Rated for every glass type, laminated and large double-glazed units included, so one film can cover a mixed facade.

IR 50 is the interior film of Reflectiv's infrared family, with a light golden appearance that reads warmer than the grey-blue of most solar films. Measured under EN 410 it rejects 52% of total solar energy at a solar factor of 0.48, blocks 55% of infrared, and still passes 70% of visible light with 99% of UV stopped.

Its compatibility table is the widest in the range: single panes, tempered glass, double glazing both under and over 1.2 square metres, and laminated glass are all approved, so one film can run across a mixed facade without changing product mid-way. Reflectiv's durability figures are generous to match, up to 20 years indoors and 8 outdoors.

Two notes from Reflectiv's own sheet are worth repeating. Films from different production batches or roll widths should not be mixed on one project, because slight tint variations show once strips sit side by side. And it comes in 75 centimetre as well as 1.52 metre rolls, which saves film on narrow reveals, applied with soapy water to a spotless pane.

Which glass it suits

IR 50 goes on the inside face and is approved on single, tempered, laminated and double glazing of any size, which is rare; most interior films stop at small sealed units. Fire behaviour is Euroclass M1. Give it thirty days before the first clean, then non-abrasive, ammonia-free products.
