Window film in Gujranwala

Window film supplied and installed in Gujranwala by Protek Devices, authorized for 3M, TotalGard and Reflectiv since 2000. Heat, safety and privacy film, specified for Gujranwala's climate.

Innovista, and the road between.

Innovista is the install we can point at here. Gujranwala sits on the route between Lahore and the north, which makes it straightforward to reach from the Gulberg base and easy to combine with work in either direction.

It is a manufacturing city — fans, ceramics, light engineering — and the glass that comes with that is showrooms and offices rather than towers. Those are quick jobs, usually a single visit.

What we did

The glazing took TotalGard DR Silver 05 R, a deep silver reflective film that blocks the bulk of the sun's heat and gives the facade its mirrored, even tone.

The result

Offices behind the glass stay cool and private all day. The tower now reads as one clean, mirrored block.

Central Punjab

What Gujranwala's climate asks of the glass.

Long hot summers into the mid-forties, a monsoon that arrives in July, and winters that bring fog and smog rather than real cold. Glass here does the hardest work in May and June, then spends December behind a grey sky.

What we specify here

The balanced middle of the range: enough rejection for a Punjabi June without darkening rooms that will want every scrap of light in a foggy January. Spectrally-selective and ceramic films suit this better than reflective ones, which look their worst under a flat winter sky.

Coverage

Across Gujranwala.

We fit film throughout the city, including Model Town, Satellite Town, Civil Lines, GT Road, Peoples Colony and Wapda Town. Nowhere is off the list; these are simply the areas we are asked for most.

Questions

Gujranwala installs, answered.

Will you travel for a single house?

Yes, though we will normally survey and install on the same trip rather than make two journeys. Give us the approximate glass area and which way the worst windows face when you enquire.

Will film make rooms dark in winter?

It can, if the wrong one is chosen. Central Punjab spends December under fog and a flat grey sky, and a dark reflective film that felt clever in June is miserable in January. We usually specify spectrally-selective or ceramic film here, which rejects heat while holding on to visible light.

When is the best time to have film fitted?

Any time, though spring is ideal because the adhesive cures fastest in mild dry weather and the film is in place before the worst of the summer. Monsoon installs are fine; the glass simply takes a little longer to clear.
