Window film in Sargodha

Window film supplied and installed in Sargodha by Protek Devices, authorized for 3M, TotalGard and Reflectiv since 2000. Heat, safety and privacy film, specified for Sargodha's climate.

Citrus country, and a long hot summer.

Sargodha sits in the middle of Punjab with little to moderate its summers, and a good deal of the city is low-rise housing and cantonment property where the glass faces open ground with nothing shading it.

That tends to mean domestic work: living rooms and bedrooms that overheat from mid-morning, and windows overlooked by a neighbouring plot where privacy matters as much as heat.

In short

Protek Devices installs 3M, TotalGard and Reflectiv window film in Sargodha. About three hours from Lahore. Survey and installation are usually combined. Commercial work starts with an on-site survey; homes are usually filmed in a single visit.

What Sargodha's climate asks of the glass.

Long hot summers into the mid-forties, a monsoon that arrives in July, and winters that bring fog and smog rather than real cold. Glass here does the hardest work in May and June, then spends December behind a grey sky.

What we specify here

The balanced middle of the range: enough rejection for a Punjabi June without darkening rooms that will want every scrap of light in a foggy January. Spectrally-selective and ceramic films suit this better than reflective ones, which look their worst under a flat winter sky.

Getting to Sargodha

About three hours from Lahore. Survey and installation are usually combined.

We work throughout Pakistan, and the portfolio on this site lags the work โ€” no Sargodha install is written up yet. We would rather say that than show you someone else's building and imply it was ours.

Coverage

Across Sargodha.

We fit film throughout the city, including Cantt, Satellite Town, Civil Lines, University Road and Block Z. Nowhere is off the list; these are simply the areas we are asked for most.

Questions

Sargodha installs, answered.

Can one film handle both heat and privacy?

Often, yes. A one-way mirror film gives daytime privacy and strong heat rejection together. The thing to understand is that it reverses after dark, when your lights are on inside โ€” if you need privacy at night as well, frosted film is the honest answer.

Will film make rooms dark in winter?

It can, if the wrong one is chosen. Central Punjab spends December under fog and a flat grey sky, and a dark reflective film that felt clever in June is miserable in January. We usually specify spectrally-selective or ceramic film here, which rejects heat while holding on to visible light.

When is the best time to have film fitted?

Any time, though spring is ideal because the adhesive cures fastest in mild dry weather and the film is in place before the worst of the summer. Monsoon installs are fine; the glass simply takes a little longer to clear.
