STN 703 is not a film at all: it is real stone, sliced thin and reinforced with polyester resin until light passes through it. Backlit, the mineral veining glows, which is the whole point, light boxes, reception desks and feature walls that read as solid stone by day and as lanterns at night.
Reflectiv files it under home staging rather than window film, and the format follows: rigid 2 mm panels of 1.22 by 0.6 metres rather than rolls, mounted on smooth, non-porous interior surfaces. Our stock is the Sahara tone, from a line that also runs olive brown, chalk and charcoal grey.
It is a discontinued line installed from remaining stock, so the panel count is finite: measure the feature before designing around it. Durability is quoted at 12 to 15 years vertical in central Europe, and cleaning follows the standard rule, thirty days first, then non-abrasive products only.
Which glass it suits
STN 703 mounts on smooth, non-porous interior surfaces, glass included, as rigid 1.22 by 0.6 metre panels. Plan the light source and the panel joints together for the backlit effect, and remember the material is natural stone: adjacent panels never repeat exactly, which is the charm and the constraint.
