Decorative film from Reflectiv

An iridescent dichroic film with blue and purple glints that shift as the viewing angle and light change. A statement treatment for premium interiors, built as 59-micron PET with an 89-micron total construction.

DCH 526 is the showpiece of the decorative range: a dichroic film that lets light in and captures it, throwing back reflections that shift from blue to purple as the viewing angle and the light change. Reflectiv's description calls the effect unmatched in modern decoration, and it is the film to specify when the glass itself is meant to be the feature.

The construction is finer than it looks: 59 micron PET carrying a 7 micron acrylate adhesive, 89 microns in total, applied to the inside face at 5°C or warmer. UVA transmission is held to 5%, fire behaviour is Euroclass B-S1,d0, and the guarantee is five years on glazing out of direct sun, with 12 to 15 years of quoted durability vertical in central Europe.

Rolls run 1.52 metres wide in lengths from 2.5 all the way to 50 metres, so large feature walls are possible without changing product. The effect depends on light moving through and off the film, which makes placement matter more than for any other film here: it earns its keep on balustrades, reception screens and glass that catches sun or spotlighting.

Which glass it suits

DCH 526 goes on the inside face of any normal clear glass. The pane must be spotless, polycarbonate needs a compatibility test, and the film wants thirty days before its first clean. Because the colour play is angle-dependent, sample it in place, in the room's own light, before committing a full run.
