An embossed static-cling film with a shattered, broken-glass relief that catches the light. No adhesive, so it repositions and removes cleanly. A dramatic decorative finish for feature glazing and bar fronts.
STC 280 is the film with no glue: a PVC sheet carrying an embossed broken-glass relief, held to the pane by static cling alone. Reflectiv's static technology applies dry and peels clean, so the film can be temporary or permanent as the room requires, taken down for a season and refitted, which no adhesive film in this catalogue can do.
The embossed texture scatters light the way real broken glass does: privacy with sparkle rather than flat frost. The sheet is 200 to 300 microns of PVC, applied to the inside face at 5°C or warmer, UVA transmission held to 5%, REACH and RoHS compliant, with 12 to 15 years of quoted interior durability.
Two rules keep a static film honest. The glass must be truly clean, because static needs perfect contact. And nothing sticky ever goes on the film, no tape, no stickers, which Reflectiv states explicitly. Rolls are 1.20 metres wide in lengths from 2.5 to 50 metres, and cleaning restarts thirty days after fitting with soapy water and nothing that scratches.
Which glass it suits
STC 280 clings to the inside face of any smooth glazing without adhesive, so it removes and repositions cleanly. That makes it the pick for rented offices, seasonal displays and rooms that change their mind. Keep tape and stickers off it, and test compatibility before polycarbonate.
