Decorative film from Reflectiv
The total mirror: 100% silver, reflective on both faces and scratch-resistant. It turns glass into a solid mirror panel for gyms, studios, retail walls and partitions.
MIR 900 is not a one-way mirror. It is a total mirror: 100% silver, opaque, reflective on both faces, passing no light at all. Reflectiv developed it from MIR 800, whose mirror effect stops at 98%. MIR 900 takes the effect to a full 100%.
That turns a pane of glass into a mirror panel on both sides, without hanging a mirror on anything. Gyms and dance studios are the obvious use, along with retail walls, partitions and the backs of glass doors. The surface is scratch resistant, which matters on a mirror people stand close to and touch.
The film is 60 microns of crystal PET with a 13 g/m2 acrylic polymer adhesive, fitted to the inside face, rated Euroclass B-s1, d0, on 1.52 metre rolls in 2.5, 5, 10 and 30 metre lengths. Reflectiv qualifies it for glazing that is not in direct sunlight, so it belongs on interior glass rather than a sun-struck window. And be plain with the client about what 0% light means: the opening stops being a window.
Which glass it suits
MIR 900 goes on the inside face. Reflectiv lists its mirror range for clear glass 4 to 10 mm and tempered glass, with clear double glazing up to about 1.2 square metres a pane, and not for tinted, laminated or wired glass or larger sealed units. It is also qualified for glazing out of direct sunlight, which puts it on partitions, doors and feature panels rather than on a window.
