A colourless thick-gauge frost that veils the view while passing soft light. A clean, everyday privacy frost for doors, partitions and bathrooms. Discontinued and currently out of stock; INT 280 and PVC 215 carry the frosted range forward.

Reflectiv's datasheet for this colourless frost, the INT 456, puts it at the light end of the full-frost ladder that climbs through INT 356, INT 256 and INT 200 to the dense white of INT 280. The current catalogue describes it as very slightly greyed and classes it as partially hiding the view rather than blocking it.

The build is 80 microns of PVC with a permanent acrylic adhesive on a silicone-coated kraft liner. It holds from minus 30 to plus 90 degrees in service, and it wants the surface above 10 degrees when it goes on, a warmer fitting temperature than the thin PET patterns need. Reflectiv tests it for tensile resistance to ISO 527-1:2012.

It can be fitted to the outside face as well as the inside, which is useful on glass reachable from only one side. Rolls are 1.22 metres wide, in lengths from 2.5 up to 50 metres.

Which glass it suits

This is a PVC frost that Reflectiv passes for both interior and exterior application, so it can go on whichever face is reachable. It asks nothing special of the glass, but it wants the surface above 10 degrees at fitting, warmer than the thin patterned films need. Rolls are 1.22 metres wide, which decides where seams fall on tall glazing.
