Window film in Larkana

Window film supplied and installed in Larkana by Protek Devices, authorized for 3M, TotalGard and Reflectiv since 2000. Heat, safety and privacy film, specified for Larkana's climate.

Interior Sindh.

Larkana is inland Sindh, with the dry extreme heat of the lower Indus and none of the coastal moderation Karachi gets.

Institutional buildings — hospitals, colleges, government offices — make up most of the glazing that needs treating, and most of it is single glazed.

In short

Protek Devices installs 3M, TotalGard and Reflectiv window film in Larkana. Seven to eight hours from Lahore. Planned as a single trip. Commercial work starts with an on-site survey; homes are usually filmed in a single visit.

What Larkana's climate asks of the glass.

Some of the hottest inhabited ground on earth. Jacobabad passes 50°C most summers and the belt through Sukkur, Larkana, Multan, Bahawalpur and Rahim Yar Khan is not far behind. The heat is dry, relentless, and arrives as direct solar load on every west- and south-facing pane.

What we specify here

This is where the top of the range earns its price. External silver and high-rejection ceramic films, applied to the outside face where the glass allows, stop the energy before it crosses the pane rather than after. A light interior film is not a serious answer to a west facade here.

Worth knowing

Thermal stress is a genuine risk at these temperatures, particularly on tinted or toughened glass and on panes that are partly shaded. Which side the film goes on is a survey decision, not a preference.

Getting to Larkana

Seven to eight hours from Lahore. Planned as a single trip.

We work throughout Pakistan, and the portfolio on this site lags the work — no Larkana install is written up yet. We would rather say that than show you someone else's building and imply it was ours.

Coverage

Across Larkana.

We fit film throughout the city, including Station Road, Jinnah Bagh, VIP Road and Bakrani Road. Nowhere is off the list; these are simply the areas we are asked for most.

Questions

Larkana installs, answered.

Can film be removed later if we change our minds?

Yes. It is a laminate on the glass, not a coating in it, so it comes off. Removal is a proper job rather than peeling it away — old adhesive has to be softened and scraped cleanly — but the glass underneath is unharmed.

Is a normal solar film enough for heat like this?

Often not. Above about 45°C the useful move is to stop the energy before it crosses the glass, which means an external silver or high-rejection ceramic film on the outside face where the glazing allows. A light interior film on a west facade here will disappoint you.

Can film crack the glass in this heat?

Thermal stress is a real risk at these temperatures, particularly on glass that is already tinted or toughened, and on panes that are partly shaded through the day. It is exactly why the survey establishes the glass type and which face the film goes on. Getting that wrong is how panes break.
